Out of Stock Items
Although we do our very best to keep all items offered in stock there are rare occasions where the computer inventory shows an item in stock but there are none actually in the warehouse. If this happens you will be notified by e-mail. If you wish to keep the item on backorder you simply do nothing and as soon as the item is in stock we will ship the item to you. If the item cannot ship within 30 days you will be notified at that time and be given the option to have your purchase refunded to your credit card or leave the item on back order.
Shipping
Shop The Great Outdoors ships UPS and other major carriers. You have a choice on check out to choose between UPS Ground and Next Day Air. Orders need to be placed by 1:00 PST to be shipped that day. Otherwise they will be shipped the next business day. If you need other choices, please contact us at allen-alice@charter.net or 1-530-725-1332 and we will try to accomodate you.
Freight charges will appear on the second (Verify) page of the order form after the shipping and billing information has been entered. (Don't worry you can always return to shopping or cancel your order at any point before you click the "Submit Order" button.) Your order will not be processed or billed until you click the "Submit" button.

Among the several advantages of shopping on line or via mail order is that companies only have to collect sales tax in states where they have a physical presence. Therefore you pay NO sales tax when you place your order with Shop The Great Outdoors.
10 Day No Risk Satisfaction Guaranteed Inspection Period
Return Policy
Your satisfaction is very important to us. Please inspect your purchases as soon as you get them. If the packaging is damaged, do NOT open the package, note the damage to the driver and have it returned. After you open the package, if you are not satisfied with your purchase for any reason (excepting customer damage or misuse), contact us within 10 days to receive return authorization and return the item to us at the address we specify. Cost of the return shipping and handling shall be your responsibility and must include insurance for the full purchase price of the item. The item must be returned in it's original condition and include all manuals, documents, warranty cards, packaging and accessories. After you receive authorization and we receive the item in the manner described, a credit will be issued to the original credit card charged for the cost of the item(shipping charges are not refundable). Return requests made after the 10 days will be handled on a per request basis and may or may not be accepted and if accepted will include a restocking fee of 25% of the item's purchase price.

Your credit card number is never displayed anywhere on our site. Even on the receipt page when you complete your order only the last four digits will be displayed. Also, your personal information, such as your address, e-mail and billing information, are stored in a secure server within the data center. Only those with proper authorization can view this data.
